Correct somerhimpson, taken the same day as the centenary tour. My gran use to live in Deacon Road which is just behind me. Don't remember the station entrance looking that fortified in the 70's. Can someone post a pic of what it used to look like in the 70's so we can see the comparison.

Dont forget that due to engineering work, Dollis Hill is closed all weekend. A replacement bus service runs from Willesden Green.

Is that the sole entrance? No, Dollis Hill station has 2 entrances, the one in the first photo is the Deacon Road one. An old factory next to it has been knocked down.

Apparently the building had been used as a recording studio, and is to be replaced by a block of 12 flats. The good news is that part of the Section 106 on the planning consent is £12000 hypothecated "towards environmental improvements, including but not limited to improvement to the entrance of the underground station". Permission has also been granted for 38 flats on the neighbouring site to the west.

At least that's good news for the station entrance. It definately needs some improvement.
