Publisher not very happy with a few of my shots for my next publication. These shots are taken on the platforms at Bethnal Green - Bank - Oxford Circus - Notting Hill Gate and Redbridge.
My age intends me to get camera wobble and using long exposure without a tripod.
Anyone out there who would like to re-take these few photos for me - if digital - the photo must be on a disc . I will credit your name with photo on book which is due to be published this November. Also I will pay for the CD disc.
Anyone interested, please send me a message and I will give you more details of the camera shots.

Thanks for your offers through messages - I have ordered a better camera (anti-shake) for photos. Be ideal for future publications.

On the subject of cameras. What are the best settings to use for digital when using on the Underground. When you consider the lighting, etc. etc.

I find that even on a farily uniformly lit platform, the settings can vary depending on the subject. I normally trust the auto on my Panasonic DMC FZ20, but if that doesn't work I have full control.

Are there any specific views you need to have at Bethnal Green? The station is in the middle of a rather serious refurbishment so some photos will surely be different from how it looked a year ago or how it's going to look in a year or so.
Especially the platform ceilings are quite different and are still being worked on so a lot of panelling is opened or not present. Cable ducts and loose cables all over the place...

The past photo is a standard stock sitting in the eastbound platform. By the time I get down there again the platform refurbishment should have been completed -I hope?? My worse experience for a present photo is Lancaster Gate - still got scaffolding and sheets of plastic covering the building. It has been a nightmare getting recent photos because of the refurbishment going on.

If it's just the platforms you're after I think it can be done.
The ticket hall is very much a work in progress and still a mess. Downstairs beneath the escalators you could run into some scaffolding but not on the platforms.
The platform floors and walls are nearly completely finished. The ceiling above the track is finished. It's mostly the ceiling above the platform itself which is still not ready with ducts and cables visible. Some of the roundels are temporarily stuck on wood. Some of the enamel roundels and Bethnal Green-specific heritage tiles surrounding them are still in place so if you choose the location carefully you'd be fine.

Bought my new camera - Panasonic DMC-FZ7 photos come out perfect using auto focus. Just couldn't believe how clear they are using it on the underground stations. Having to use the anti-shake and self timer, because pressing the shutter button is the main cause of camera shake.
