Hey guys. Couple of months ago I had the opportunity to travel to Seoul for business and took the subway there on a daily basis. Its a fabulous system to use, particularly since most signage is trilingual (i.e. if your Korean's no good, neither is your Japanese English is provided). I also managed in my spare time to travel on quite a number of the different lines including Line 1 all the way to Incheon (it doesn't serve the airport) and the Yongsan - Deokso suburban line which are the two that operate more than the others at surface level. You can find the photos I took at my Transit World page in the Seoul section - ufies.org/~aleith/transitUnfortunately though due to the large number of Americans in town they refer to the main line Korail system as a railroad and not a railWAY.
