When the Christmas Quiz is out of the way, I will upload some more pictures to my Fotopic site from some of my European rail travels, when I was young enough to get an Inter-rail pass! One of my favourite lines runs from Villefranche-Vernet-Les-Bains to Latour De Carol in the French Pyrenees. It was built as an electric railway in 1903. The third-rail system was used. The original trains are (just) still running, ableit heavily modernised. The motors and compressors etc are original, all locally repaired.
