Hi all,
Does anyone knows when the 1962TS and that Rail Adhension A-stock will be running this year?

The Rail Adhesion A Stock already seems to be running (as I caught a glimpse of it sat at Harrow-on-the-Hill on Sunday evening). Not sure about the 62TS though.

The RAT train has the running number T710. It runs between Harrow and Amersham, Nr taking over from there with the class 960s [Heritage DMUs]

It can also run to Watford and Uxbridge and is also used for sleet working. Chiltern Railways/Network Rail operate a water jetting train and this also "sprays its fluid" on LUL lines. The following operator/train must be advised if they are following it.

Have a look at page 4 on both the Met & Central line boards - the threads from last year on the same subject may give you some idea.
In any case, these trains are not all that likely to follow a set timetable on any given day - they are used as required, meaning they're used more intensively when leaf fall is at it it's worst, and less intensively when leaf fall is less of a problem.

I have to correct you on that Colin. These trains are timetabled. When I was at Neasden I used to enjoy the late turn on the RAT Book on 14.35 and finish 22.15 with all work on the RAT and a meal relief at Ricky. Spend the whole day on the North end of the Met without passengers and my radio on was great.

I worded that badly, what I meant to imply was:
Just because someone post's a timetable, don't expect the train to appear. It may be decided on the day that the train isn't required, or, if it runs, it may not appear at the times expected.
Is that right?

If the service is disrupted the train will be held in a siding out of the way as well. Other than that the RAT runs even when it's p#ssing down and the Sandite just gets washed off.

FYI Spotted today: Rail Adhesion Car at Neasden Depot. Bonus: 4 car 96TS with shunters and battery locos end to end.
