Hi David, You're brining back memories to me with those photos! How much I miss the 310s and 312s on the GE and LT&S! Emerson Park station hasn't changed much from its present day form... Still looks dull and dodgy! I'd be interested to see anymore photo's you have from the Great Eastern or LT&S areas... Keep 'em coming.

I miss the 302's out of Fenchurch! Used to either sit in the car directly underneath the 'panto' [and listen to a most reassuring humming noise...] or right up the front. I remember with great affection, a ride to Shoebury on 302 227. Dunno what speed we went round through Leigh and Westcliff, but he were'nt 'arf givin' it some!
David, have you got anything of the Gospel Oak - Barking line, or North London?

If you're interested in the eastern region, I would highly recommend 'Anglia Region Suburban Memories' by J&K Video, it covers the Great Eastern, NLL and LT&S lines from their days with real Trains right up to the present day. It can be purchased from any decent store stocking Rail media, priced £17.95, I purchased my copy from Ian Allan in Waterloo and it was worth every penny! David, have you got anything of the Gospel Oak - Barking line I'd be interested in seeing some photos from the GOBLIN too! With the line being one of my locals during my younger years I have distant memories of the 117s on the route before the 150s took over. David, do you at all have any photos from it when it was Loco Hauled by a 33+3TC set? See here - paulbigland.fotopic.net/p4253112.html and paulbigland.fotopic.net/p3664458.html

I doubt if I have any / many more pictures 'out east'. Sorry I can't for the life of me recall why I got off at Emerson Park station. From what I remember when I was a driver on the 193 bus route, Emerson Park (the area) is quite posh; even the school kids from round there were polite!

How things change!! ;D If you ever revisit the area, you'll be shocked to see how much it's changed if it used to be posh. There have been incidents in the past few months of yobs pushing the doors of 315s off the runners at Emerson Park.

I'm not sure if I have any GOBLIN or similar, I think I've got some NLL and Watford Crawler *somewhere*. Problem is, there are just so many boxes. They used to be in order many moons ago, but now

Is 'Watford Crawler' the old Croxley Green Line? If so pics of that wouldbe really interesting. I walked the course of the route (by adjacent roads visiting the line at bridges and stations as I was not sure if juice was still on - there was some 'humming' going on when I was close to the track) and it is fascinating. Unfortunately most of the line is very dangerous to go on as it is very overgrown so the road thing was in my view the only option. Has anyone ever visited Watford Stadium station? There wasn't even a proper road there when I visited! To actually get to the stadium you had to go along gravel tracks, through trees and through an industrial estate before getting near the stadium!!

Watford Crawler is the Euston - W Jct service - crawler as it takes ages compared to a 321

There is some pics of the Watford -Croxley line taken about 3 months ago at www.nobodythere.co.uk/tourpages/industry/croxley/p5.shtml - I walked it about 2 years ago and the amount it has grown in that time is amazing. Has anyone on the forum got pics of it when it was in use? BTW for particularly the younger members - walking along disused railway line is not a good idea if not with someone with relevant permission/very good knowledge of area. As you can see they are quite hazardous and there's loads of sites on the net with pics

310's and 312's? And how about the 306's to Clacton? Happy Days... We had the pleasure of the preserved 306 unit doing Northampton to Rugby shuttles a few years ago on a Sunday!
