Can anyone tell me at what depth in relation to the Northern/Bakerloo at Waterloo and the Northern/Central at Bank the Drains is?
Also in which direction does it face at either end?

Thanks for that Chris (A). Looking at those it seems it would not take an awful lot to connect the Drain to the Central at Bank. (Westbound Central anyway) Stock transfer would then be easy.

The problem with the W & C is that at Bank the overun tunnels are used for the travolaters and at Waterloo you have the depot. it would be possinle to extend the line through waterloo depot into new tunnels and then go wherever. Or build a steplate junction along the line somewhere and extend the line that way
Did you know the line almost touches temple station.

Now you have just answred a question that has bothered me for years. I knew a woman who was platform staff at Temple and on one occasion they had need to have staff on overnight for a few days.
Now she volunteered for this and after the first night she asked me if I would go to work with her (she lived round the corner from me) as the Foreman on nights with her was a bit of a letch and had made advances to her.
So I did go with her and in the quiet of the night we definetly heard trains rumbling by but saw nothing. I wonder if it was something going along the WC below?

Aldwych was very close to Temple, maybe people are mistaking this.

Don't forget the magazine article on the W&C here(Maybe someone would like to sticky the two threads?)
