Im at an internet cafe in Brick Lane just now. Taking a trip through Shoreditch when I finish. It seems odd knowing that the station will only be here for another three weeks.

I didn't know the poem 'Adelstrop' was even known in Germany. Well done for both pics and quotes.

Magnificent!
I learnt that from reading a book by Pat Reid, Colditz Story. Theres a passage about a reconissance mission seeking out escape routes around the castle, and Pat is sure he was seen by a guard, referred to in the book as Hauptmann Preim, who when he has a moment, says to Pat, in English/german mix "the camoflauge was prachtwoll"
Pat, sensing what this meant, changed the plans with his fellow comrades.
Wonderful reading.
