The DMIs inside each car didn't seem to be feeling very well on the train I was on earlier today.
They were repeatedly cycling through the following four messages:
Boot version number 101 Application version number 101 No errors detected Address switch is set to 2
I was wondering what causes this? I'm assuming the bit of software that controls the DMIs was stuck in a boot loop?

I don't really know the 96 stock, but at a guess it looks like the equipment has been put into a test mode. On the D stock a similar thing happens if the test button on the CIS is operated, it is easily operated by accident, but a b*gger to stop.

The test is for Depot Engineers to turn on and so that they can walk through the train and check that all DMIs and speakers are working correctly.
