I was wondering as when I was travelling on the Jubilee this weekend the train annouced "Canda Water, change here for the East London Line bus replacement". Now I know its due to happen soon but why start it already and get passangers confused? also why haven't they updated Stratford or West Hampstead to say change here for the Overground? would seem reasonable to do both! Tho thankfully its now exits for the 02 etc rather than alight.

I think it sounds funny at NOG as it seems like more is goig to be said about either O2 or NOG in general.

Now I know its due to happen soon but why start it already and get passangers confused? Well you can only do so many trains in one night (changing software), but I agree it's still a bit early. I'm sure the whole fleet could probably done over, say, four nights - but I suppose it depends on how the software change is done and how long each train takes to do.......... also why haven't they updated Stratford or West Hampstead to say change here for the Overground? Either someone has forgotten, or it's being done as a separate job. The latter wouldn't surprise me in the slightest  |

I imagine also it is the kind of job that's probably done at one depot on a given line. For example on the Jubilee the staff and equipment may be based at Stratford, so trains stabled at Neasden (assuming Jubilee still stable there) can't be done that night. So I'm sure it requires quite a lot of coordination to ensure all units are done in a set number of nights.

Maybe Im being too logical but would you start with the Overground first then the ELL closure? OR it it a way of ensuring people know the ELL closing?

The Vic PA's have been already amended for Highbury etc, and have been since the start of last week, although Blackhorse erroneously says Overground AND National Rail! (Sorry, if slightly OT) |
