On my Jubilee line today, IIRC it was train 26 from Waterloo at around 11.25am, there were announcements with "the next station", on my way back on train 22 today to Waterloo from Baker Street, there were also some, but on train 23 I heard no announcements.
Are there software upgrades coming along?

I have heard these new announcments, and think these are an improvement. The only thing that does let them down is the fact that they are done with two different voices.

Does anyone know who the woman is that does the Jubilee DVA. She sounds just like on of the announcers on Channel Four

Are there software upgrades coming along? I do sincerely hope so, I was leaving Canary Wharf after work last night and as we were approaching Canada Water the PA cheerily announced that the next station was West Hampstead! Ooh, and they've started to do auto-announcements on the DLR too now...

The announcer on the DLR appears to have had very little thought put into it.
When a approaching a station it says "This train is for X, the next station is Y. When leaving the train, please remember to take all of your personal belongings with you."
When stopped in a platform it just says "This is Y." (Replace X and Y with any sensible combination)
Apart from ensuring that nobody would ever manage to leave something behind (or not), it fails to metion a train's destination when it is stopped in a platform, so anyone who needs such an announcement can get on the correct train. Announcing where a train is going when it is nearly at the next stop only serves to let you know that jumping off and going back may be necessary.

In fairness though, the DLR platforms announce the destination of the approaching train so boarding passengers are already aware of where the train's going. Couldn't agree more though re: "When leaving the train, please remember to take all of your personal belongings with you". Hearing that 10 times a day is starting to grind a bit now! Out come the headphones...

I have a question about the Jub DVA:
On the old Anita 'Canary Wharf' it says: Change for DLR and City Airport Bus Link
Nowadays, Celia says that only at Canning Town. Is there a reason for this?
Reminds me when on a Lisbon Metro train, the DVA was a station behind!!!

The City Airport bus link was withdrawn when the DLR opened to City Airport, so it shouldn't be announcing it at Canning Town either!

I've been on a Class 350 from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street where the DVA was going the opposite way! It got the current station right in every case, but the destination, next station and calling points were all wrong. At least one person got off the train immediately after getting on it, thinking it was headed to Birmingham.
I've mentioned before that I've been on a Jubilee train where the DVA got stuck after West Ham, and then approaching Southwark (iirc) started again, running through all of the messages back to back to try and catch up. It still hadn't finished when I got off the train at Westminster.
Recently the iBus system on the number 20 was about half a route behind, announcing that this was Debden Broadway where the bus was terminating when we were somewhere in Woodford Wells!

Newham Council's Transport & Planning Dept have repeatedly raised this with LU who keep passing the blame onto Tube Lines (PPP guv'nor, nothing to do with us...).

I had a rareity today - usually once terminated the old man states "All change please. This train will now terminate here. All change please. Please keep your personal belongings with you at allllll times..." etc. but when my train terminated at Statford, Anita voiced it "All change please. This train terminates here. All change please" - does Anita normally voice the termini these days?

Does anyone know who the woman is that does the Jubilee DVA. She sounds just like on of the announcers on Channel Four Celia Drummond. Hi all, Yesterday on the Jubilee Line I noticed an update at Wembley Stadium (which I have recorded if anyone is interested): it now says "This station is Wembley Park. Change here for the Metropolitan Line. Exit for Wembley National Stadium" Only 'unusual' thing they have done is instead of saying "Exit here" they have simply left it as "Exit" to say them recording it twice (i.e. one for station approach and one for at staiton) Do you think this means London Overground has been added to Statford?
