Taking into account the craptastic low-density signalling on the JLE and the Met slow lines, how many more trains does TfL want to try to run on the Jubilee once they are reformed to 7 cars and the four new trains are cleared for entry into traffic?

The plan ( ;D) is to have a 24tph service with the seven car trains, then upgrade the signalling to handle 30tph. IIRC there is an agreement with the Canary Wharf people to make it happen. We'll see........

Some twisting of the agreement didn't pay off. Management tried to read the agreement as being "number of passengers moved in an hour" meaning, with the 7th car, they could stay at the (pretty unsuccessful) 24tph frequency and shift as many people as 28tph. The theory is good, but Canary Wharf are having none of it.
Get on with the upgrade is all I can say. The sooner they do that, the sooner we are no longer a part of it and the politics.

I still think the Jubilee ATO will be in place by 2061...
Seriously though, will the four new trains really only be usable as 'changeover spares' then?

WTT's 8 & 9 will still be 51 train full peak service,no increase in tph until Seltrac is commissioned.Tell a lie,on WTT 9 the plan is to go from 15tph to 18tph off peak.
