As they pay the wages for a third of us at Baker Street, I couldn't possibly comment on this public forum. (I think I have hinted enough in the past though for you to gather my feelings )

To make things more clear - our Lyublinskaya ('light green') line bore a nickname of 'Children's railway' until it got 30 tph service last year.

Dmitri, are there any real Pioneer's Railways still operating in the former Soviet union?
from what I have heard, the one in Budapest was turned inot a tourist railway some years ago, and none remain in Germany as far as I know.

Dmitri, are there any real Pioneer's Railways still operating in the former Soviet union? Surprisingly, some of them are still alive. And you can see the list here: railways.id.ru/towns/index-eng.htmlNot all information is available in English, but some may be of interest .

96120 went to Neasden tonight between two battery locos, will move from Neasden to Ealing Wednesday night, any DR men here should see it on the Alps from Thursday. Also,Alcatel are commissioning a Seltrac test track on the EB in the Bermondsey area, the first test train ran last Sunday night. At the moment they're checking that Seltrac doesn't interfere with the conventional signals and vice versa and also that 96TS traction packages don't interfere with Seltrac. If it all checks out O.K. there will be test running in extended traffic hours in the near future.

The Jubilee Line will start running reduced services from 12th December until Xmas Eve in connection with withdrawal of stock for insertion of 7th car.The line will be shut from 25th till 30th December although a "ghost" service will operate on 28th,29th & 30th to iron out any snags. All being well it will reopen on New Year's Eve,after the 2nd January Jubilee will revert to WTT7 and later that month hopefully WTT8 will start, although I don't have a definite date for that yet.

I do (at least as far as the planning goes). The new timetable, complete with 7-car running should start on 9th January. New Year's Eve and upto the 9th will see a reduced WTT7 operate. There will be no real 24tph service from mid-December until 9th January.

Last week I saw a 96TS on a trailer travelling down the A12, it turned left onto the A11 towards Stratford. I assume it was one of the '7th' cars being delivered.

The units at Highgate for ATO testing (96062-96061) will be returning to SMD over the next couple of weeks, presumably to have the 7th car fitted.Don't know if they will go back to Highgate afterwards.Maybe not as the P.Way sdgs round the back of the shed are going to be converted to an ATO test track.

I was on the desk for most of the test running - but it's not the first 7-car Jub train I have routed recently.
There is no noticeable difference in the track circuit operation. The normal service was running, and a glance at the diagram would not instantly tell you which train was the slightly longer one. As most of our part of the line was originally signalled for 8-car trains, it would have to be a train longer than this to show any sort of difference - and even then it would only show up in certain areas.
As for the planning Towerman refers to, we were at last given a "plan" for our side which involved reversing at Willesden Green. However, this did not allow for the booked Willesden reversers, so said plan was eventually binned.
