Hello all, Yesterday evening I managed to catch the Back The Bid livery 1996 Stock for the first time from Waterloo to West Ham after coming back from a Family trip from Sandown on the I.O.W (good to have a ride on the 38TS again ;D) I quite liked the livery and the new 'Back The Bid' yellow seats. (They did do my eyes in a bit though, my eyes are sensitive to strong colours such as yellow) Are the seats a different padding from the normal 96 seats? They felt a lot comfier. (or maybe it's because I was thankful for sitting on a comfier seat other than a 444 Desiro 'Ironing Board' seat for nearly an 1-2 hours from Portsmouth! ;D) Overall I like the livery, it looks quite smart, are there any other LU units up for the livery? It would be interesting to see a D or A stock in the livery.

There are three two car units of C stock coupled as one train running around, but, only on the Circle line - in full back the bid livery.

But not since Friday and not until tomorrow The C-stock train seats were comfy in the beginning (probably just a result of being newly made) but have sagged a bit I noticed on recent rides.

Though it did spend some time on the H&C during Saturday... ;D I've also seen the Back The Bid C stock on H&C's, mostly when the District/Circle has been shut for Engineering Works between Whitechapel and Earls Court and all Circle C Stock have been diagramed to provde a higher frequency on the H&C. I'd like to get a Photo of the Back The Bid C stock at somewhere rare like Barking, it's just a matter of finding it and being in the right place at the right time.

If the Circle isn't running, you will definately find it on the H&C. Both the Jub and H&C/Circle Olympic trains must run each day as far as possible. Although there have been occasions when they have been confined to the sheds for maintenance, you tend to find that with these two, they normally only miss one peak and are back by the next.
The C-stock train will normally form an inner-rail circle (215 or 216 are favourite). It can however form any H&C or Circle train, provided the stock can be stabled at Hammersmith overnight - though Barking trips are avoided - not because of the potential for it to come under attack, but more because Barking trips are much longer and take it away from Central London and thus the public's attention.
I don't think it has ended up on the District to Wimbledon by mistake yet ;D

If you want to catch the Jubilee BTB train Monday to Friday it's usually on a train that starts from SMD A.M. and stables Neasden between the peaks, these trains leave SMD at 05:15,06:00,06:44 all via Stratford and 07:15 via West Ham.In the evening it's usually on either T353 or T354 which leave Neasden at 15:55 and 16:11.At weekends it's on any train that starts and finishes at SMD.

At weekends it's on any train that starts and finishes at SMD. At least that is the plan, although there have been a couple of occasions where it was nearly left stranded at Stanmore until Monday morning

I don't think it has ended up on the District to Wimbledon by mistake yet ;D Oh yes it has!! ;D Though brief, it appeared as train 162 yesterday evening. I saw it at High Street Kensington at about 1855, though when I saw it later, it was back on inner rail circles.

Blimey, they must have been short of stock!! Mind you, T162 only does 2 rounders in the evening and we then give it back at around 20:08 (going from memory) at Edgware Road. It went defective in Sunday whilst on the H&C, but they got it repaired for Start of traffic on Monday.

I've noticed since the Olympic bid was successful,Alstom don't seem to be as keen to keep the Olympic wrap train at SMD overnight,It seems to run on any old train now.
