Strange thing (to me it was) happened this afternoon. Was in first carriage of Northern line train to Morden as always. When we got to Moorgate I expected as always for the first doors not to open but in fact no doors did, then, after a small forward jolt all the doors opened, including driver and the first set of doors. I was wondering why this could have happened...

Sounds like the train wasnt fully inside the Doors Enable Zone, to make sure that the doors/ train is where it should be at the platform. Once pulled far enough forward it was.

But wouldnt the first set of doors still automatically cut out as they should? If not, why not?

That happened to me on the jubilee line the other day at westminster, stopped then went forward, waited 2 mins the train doors opened then had to wait another 2 mins for the safety doors to open!

Yeah, the first set should automatically cut out anyway... HOWEVER, I am given to understand that with the 95ts, if you overshoot the mark and have to use the CSDE, you then have to use the FDCO, otherwise the doors will open as per se! Unless that has changed recently, thats what I was told when I was with a friend on there...

Missed the mark, had to use CSDE and also had to press the FDCO button.
