Does anyone have any pictures and/or information on the 67's as they originally arrived that they would be willing to share? i.e. paint jobs, markings/logo's on the side (logo or "London Transport" for example). Any information on what was changed internally during the refurbishment would also be very helpful, as I'm attempting to recreate the stock in it's original condition for Microsoft Train Simulator. Any and all information is much appreciated Mark

The sole remaining pre-refurb DM 3016 was at The Pump House museum in Walthamstow under a tarpaulin in 2005, but I hear that it may be getting scrapped by its owner (or might have already been).

Last I checked, 3016 still existed and was still in situ at the Pump House, albeit in very sorry condition.
A shame, then, that the LTM Acton is unlikely to want it.

excuse my ignorance, but why wasn't it refurbed? Is it a DM or a trailer?

it's a dm but it had a big collision and the cab is wrecked so they probably purchased it at an extremly low price

It overrun the shunt on leaving North Park Depot and went into the wall, iirc.

I thought it was the one that hit the stops on 35rd and the Trainmen's Inspector was left with a permanent limp after getting his foot trapped.

More info in a day than I expected, should be able to do a fairly good job of creating a virtual version of the stock for MSTS now, thank you

I thought it was the one that hit the stops on 35rd and the Trainmen's Inspector was left with a permanent limp after getting his foot trapped. According to my notes, 3016 was involved in a collision in Northumberland Park Depot on 06/11/93. By coincidence, earlier this week I was reading a FIR into a recent copycat incident which referenced the 1993 collision and stated that the member of staff in the cab was left with a permanent disfigurement. I think the incident at the depot outlet was that of 22/02/97 which resulted in the scrapping of DM3184. There are more details in the Underground News magazines from the time.

If anyone's interested to see what's coming of this so far, here's what I managed to knock up this morning based on Tubeprune's site - www.fox-developments.co.uk/msts/67TS/dm_unrefurb1.jpgIt's still very much a work in progress, based on the 73TS that Jimi, Darren and Richard made last year.

Well done - jolly good looker.
detailed point - there's what looks like door controls for the non-existant cab doors!!!!

That looks excellent! Bit of friendly advice though - the 'cab door' window needs to be slightly smaller.

Thanks for the feedback I'll have a tweak tomorrow probably, working on getting rid of the door controls at the moment. As for the cab window, should I be covering it up more at the top or the bottom?

At the bottom mainly, and slightly at the top. You might want to look at this picture to help you. www.piccadilly-line.org.uk/1972f.jpgI know it's 1972 stock but the design is almost exactly the same.
