(earlier today)
Victoria Line: Part suspended between Brixton and Warren Street due to a person ill on a train at Green Park.
Why was there such a large suspension? Could the line not be suspended between Victoria and Warren Street, so a Brixton-Victoria service could be run, as there is no other tube lines in the Brixton area apart from Stockwell northern line.

You hav to remember there could have been operational restrictions at Victoria which prevented the service being terminated there. Just because there is a cross over there, it doesnt mean to say that it is fully functional.

Just because there is a cross over there, it doesnt mean to say that it is fully functional. True, but it has now been recommissioned. I spent the day at NPD and didn't notice anything unusual about the number of trains there, so there must have been a lot held in platforms.

True, but it has now been recommissioned. I was actually talking generically, rather than being site specific as i wasnt aware of issues they did have on the Vic! lol! Learn something new everyday!

Not forgetting the invisible problems like T/Op availability to operate a shuttle service.
With a PIOT, the controllers would assume that the person would be removed from the train fairly quickly (compared with say a signal failure) so perhaps the service controllers didn't want to totally screw the service. Lots of IF's but nothing concrete.
