Is it me or are the Victoria Line trains made for person with a bit, erm, extra? ;D They seem to be quite spacious and comfortable compared to the rest of the tube!

Do you mean the 1967 stock or the 2009 stock ? The 67's are probably wider because of their age, seats do seem to have become narrower, probably to squeeze an extra one in here and there on new stock ! The 2009 stock has some "wider seats" which are the ones marked as priority seating. In my opinion the best longitudinal seating arangement is that on the 1992 stock, where two of the row of six seats are set back, giving all six seats sufficient room for sitting comfortably with legs apart !

I believe the seats that are set back are the two middle ones?

I believe the seats that are set back are the two middle ones? That's correct, so in those rows, each seat has either a set forwards/backwards seat on one side of it or a gangway.

Don't forget that the doors are wider on the 09TS compared to 67TS, thus there is less space for seats between the doors. 6 wider seats is probably a better fit than 7 very narrow seats.
