how bad is a 'reduced service on the rest of the line'??. This weekend we need to get to Victoria for the Gatwick express and are very near the northern, piccadily and Victoria at Highgate and Finsbury Park respectively. What is the best route with luggage?
We though Euston on a Northern Bank train that would mean that it would be 1 platform change. Maybe it should be in Quizzes?!
bear in mind the Vic is suspended between Highgbury and Seven Sisters.

Of late LU seem to have been incapable of running anything better than a 5 minute service when reversing using one track during weekend engineering works (e.g Central Line at Marble Arch, Jubilee at Willesden Green. So I would surprised if it was more frequent than that.

can you blame them? It would be very dificult to maintain anything better than that. It is on a Saturday though, so 5 minutes isn't going to make me miss my flight!

By Picc from Finsbury Park to Green Park, then the Vic. I dont know exactly where you are Rob, but maybe Nr from Alexandra Palace/Hornsey/Harringay to Kings X then the Vic.

can you blame them? It would be very dificult to maintain anything better than that. I'm sure there are many reasons such as lack of train stabling on that side of the works, lack of drivers, etc. However, taking the Jubilee Line works, last weekend for example, a better service level has been run in similar situations before with trains reversing at both West Hampstead and Willesden Green allowing for the usual 3-4min service frequency. Last weekend trains all ran to Willesden Green, with a poor 5 minute service on the rest of the line. The Victoria Line is very busy at weekends even with the usual 3minute service. If the service is approx every 5mins, then the Victoria Line will be very(!) busy.

What are my options from Muswell Hill then? That is the only reasonable one. What is the tube and circle/district interchange like at Embankment? and then at Victoria...

How about the 299 to Bounds Green, then 221 to North Finchley, then 82 to Victoria?

actually the 43 to angel and then the 38 to Victoria is better, but I try my best not to take the 'trail of fire' buses to Victoria. I would try me absolute best to take an RM but using those disgusting (hypebole intended) buses is so stupid.
I wonder if you are ever late to work tubeboy.

I went from Waterloo to Finchley Central, via Edgware and Mill Hill the other day!. Rare I am late for work. Bendies have loads of luggage space, thats if there arent 20 pushchairs on the bus at the time!

yes the 24 of course! I haven't had a chance to ride the enviro 400 yet, and can't wait! The artics do have a reason for being but instead of the Routemaster. No contest.

A few enviros go past my station, empty, to Holloway garage, nice looking buses, maybe not as nice looking as the geminis, or my favourite the mcw metrobus!
Creative master northcord ltd are releasing a model of the enviro 400, september, I've ordered one! As well as a bendy! Have a first bendy, waiting for the arriva one to come out!

love doing some bus spotting. I have the LOTS fleetbook and do a fair amount in Muswell Hill which has many metroline buses. A bus enthusiast at heart, but the underground is also interesting to follow.
