How rare is a points failure on the LU, let alone the Victoria!?

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

The problem was a points failure, but the incident became complicated by a unique set of circumstances which quickly caused the delay to be exacerbated. This really was a unique one-off situation.

Isn't the only set of points in that area the connection from the northbound Piccadilly to northbound Victoria just south of Finsbury Park?

It wasn't a 67TS trying to venture onto the dark blue line was it?

Oh no, it was a genuine points failure. It's just circumstances went from one thing to another and before they knew it time was running out and the situation was not improving. So they decided the quickest way to resolve the problem was to walk them out.

I hear the affected passengers will all get 100 quid.
Wonder if names were taken at the time, or will they get 10,000 people claiming to have been on that train?

Saw '' Tube line derailment '' on the Sub Standard's paper advertisement thingys that are outside news kiosks today. I presume it was linked to this incident? EDIT: Looks like it's about the Archway sidings incident
