After a half day duty, I decided to go for a little jaunt around places. Got to Oxford Circus, wander around Carnaby Street and into Picc Circus. Up to Holloway Road and a wander to Angel, taking in a few shops of interest. Realising the SB Northern was up the spout, I wandered back to Highbury. Walking down to the Vic, dodging drunk football fans I waited on the SB. I'm surprised that the Northern City line platform wasnt locked off - all the Bostwick Gates were simply left open. Anyway, the 67ts drew in, the Op coshed it a bit to avoid an overshoot. Hammering away down into Kings, the Op suddely comes over the tannoy with a elongated description of the approaching station. I found it quite funny. Thats given me an idea for PA's in the future!!! After fighting my way through the maze of what is the station, I took the Met to Bakers, wandered along to Marlebone, Bakerloo to Edgware Road and round to Wimbledon, a journey on the Tramlink, visiting that famous Swedish Flatpack place with distinctive logo. ;D . Back to Wimbledon and off at Putney B, visiting another shop. A quick run back to Earls Ct, then round the Circle to Tower Hill, onto the DLR for three stops.

That Vic Line train op is great value. Always has comedy station announcements.
My favorite: " Ladys and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat but the pickpockets are still out so keep your bags close and have a Merry Christmas" a couple of days before Christmas last year.
He also does Victoriaaaarrr and Grrrrrrrreeen Puck very well.
