According to the TfL realtime tube map, there was "earlier emergency engineering work at Euston station" on the 12th, that has been delaying trains ever since. Is this really the case, and if so what sort of engineering work was required, or is it more a case that someone has forgotten to remove it from the map?

I suspect the emergency engineering work left the stretch of track with a quite a low speed TSR, which obviously had an affect on the service for the rest of that day, until the problem was rectified properly overnight. The same TSR may have stayed in after final work, however i see a normal service is now operating.

Emergency engineering work on the vic can mean anything - I once got the line suspended south of Warren St for a track circuit failure. Asa a rule, the line would rather run full speed over a problem in the peak and suspend off-peak to fix it rather than suffer a TSR.
