I've read that metronet are to change some areas from coasting to motoring to improve journey times a little.
Iv'e noticed the ride from green Park to Victoria is a little faster and bumpier.
Does anybody know where abouts the above is effecting or if it's been implamented yet?

There is a project to improve run times on the line by removing coasting control on the following sites: Seven Sisters to Finsbury Park and Oxford Circus to Green Park, both southbound only. Green Park to Victoria was also in the scope but the track wear was greater than first anticipated and coasting control was re-enabled some four weeks after it was disabled.
The Project Engineer for the work sits next to me, and I had some involvement to rearrange reinstatement of coasting on the Green Pk - Victoria section.

Great so a little improvement then although its a shame they had to remove GRN Pk/Vic section. Hope they can sort it out.

PM = Private Message Private messages are messages sent from one forum member to another, they can be read only by the intended recipient (and possbily admins as well, but this varies between forum software). If you look to the right of the big green bar a the very top of the page (the one that says "District Dave's London Underground Site") you will see it says: "Hey, <username>, you have X messages, Y are new." (where X and Y are numbers) Click on the word "messages" and it will take you to your message inbox, that will look something like your email inbox (depending of course on what email software you use). Each message has a status icon, if it is a bright yellow envelope ( ) then you have not read it and it is new. To read it, just click the message titel (the entry in the "subject" column, to the right of the envelope). When you have read it you can reply by the same method - just hit the reply button. If the message icon is an opened envelope ( ) then you have read it and it is not new. Chris

Ta chris- I couldn't have put it better myself ( or more longwindedly) I've never been partiuclarly known for the conciseness of my writing! I remeber when I was doing my A levels that Dad and I spent about 4 hours trying to reduce the number of words in one of my coursework assignments. The recommended word limit was 1500 words, the absolute word limit (above which you lose marks) was 1700 words, my assignment was 1697 words! Chris
