Wembley Park? That hasn't been part of the Bakerloo for years! I imagine you mean Central. This makes sesnse, those Bakerloo trains can be separated from the Queens Park-Elephant service by using the Overground platforms(?) toothing in with the Euston trains that don't run very often.

As others have said, it's fairly common for trains to reverse round Kilburn High Rd if there's a shuttle service. LUL only have a licence to carry passengers as far as Queen's Park though, so trains travelling south of that must run empty.
I'm pretty sure there's no way a Bakerloo train went beyond Kilburn High Road. There is no power available! Perhaps you saw something that looked similar to a Bakerloo train?

The first of the new LO dual-voltage trains are apparently based at Willesden and being tested, so could have been en route to Euston?

When the crossover was south of Kilburn High Road station the 4th rail on the up line extended to a train length pas the crossover. A particular 38ts railtour visited Kilburn High Road and during the 4th rail cleaning exercise a battery loco was used with sleet brushes down to remove the rust. This also included the cement set to the 4th rail at Queens Park when the new signal bases were being cast The result was a cloud of dust covering the platform and all asunder. At that time the crossover was also still north of Queens Park and a wrong road starter was provided to start from the up platform.

I saw it going under the bridge and I didn't think it was going to stop at the speed it was going. It must have stopped at the station. My bad!

There is a nice shot of 378001 in RAIL this week on 3rd rail in former SR territory that is clearly a daylight shot.

Hey all - I was getting into my Zipcar tonight right by Kilburn High Rd station at about 725 PM tonight and I saw a rather unusual site - a Bakerloo line train coming down the Overground line. It was coming from the Queens Park direction and went straight on through Kilburn High Rd and carried on towards Euston. Does anyone know why this was? I couldn't really tell if there were people on board but the lights in the carriages were on. Anybody know what's up?? 2 pictures are here keithsrailwaypictures.fotopic.net/p25469814.html= unrefurbished commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1972_Stock_at_Kilburn_High_Road_2.jpg=refurbished
