Just a quickie: noticed a fair-sized aggregates wagon train at Cambridge station on my way home tonight with Metronet and London Underground branding.
Just wondering if anyone knows what they were upto and how they would connect back to the LU lines as AFAIK, the lines into KX/Moorgate isn't connected to them anywhere, as neither are the lines into Liverpool St.

Cutting across to Wellingborough yard maybe?
Is the crossover at Upminster still not laid yet?

I gather the situation at Upminster has been a stalemate for some time - and that situation isn't likely to change any time soon.

I noticed some of these wagons stabled in Willesden Brent sidings about 2 weeks ago.
