The site of the Croxley depot is currently a low-density industrial property ( that I think does something with old cars...can't quite remember, but there's always quite a few around behind the gates ), so I suspect re-acquisition wouldn't be too hard at all....and given that the line to Croxley will be running Met trains by then (i.e. having out of service Bakerloo's running down it would reduce capacity), we might end up with a reinstated south curve and Bushey terminators ...though I suspect it'd be a better opportunity to enlarge Watford High street with segregated platforms. You can see the former depot site here, the southern curve followed the tree line just north of the yard: maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=watford&ie=UTF8&z=17&ll=51.646845%2C-0.396361&spn=0.005665%2C0.016994&t=h&om=1

Not really, as you can reverse off the platform anyway. Indeed, but isn't this move dangerous in 1972 stock due to the positioning of the conductor rails? ISTR hearing that if trains don't proceed at a certain speed past the wrong-road starter, they will (not might, will) get gapped... 72 stock gets gapped at willesden jnc as well
