Members, I was told the other day that there is apparently a secret underground railway which is used for the escape of political leaders from Westminster, which then runs to Green Park for the royal family and then runs fast to Northolt Air Base. Can anyone shed any light on this? Or was my leg being pulled? ;D

Even if it were true, the official secrets act would apply to that sort of information I should think ;D

You were told a part truth. There is a way for pedestrians from the Palace of Westminster to access the underground network, and there is a way of getting folks to Northolt. These two facts are not directly connected.

Years ago I saw the sub-surface entrance into/from the Palace of Westminster from Westminster Station that was through a locked gate.
