Not sure if this will work, but I took a couple of shots today of the Connect radio equipment installed on my train. The radio itself has a metal cover over it to stop our grubby fingers getting to it. I did try to open it up, but the screws were too tight!. According to a bulletin posted at my book on point the radios are going to be installed between now and May. There was no aerial on this unit.

Interesting. Others 'in the know' have pegged the Victoria as the first deep-level line to get Connect, yet I don't recall actually seeing any photos of the control panel or magic gubbin cubicles inside the 1967TS cabs.
Has somebody decided to do the Picc first, given that it interworks more with the SSL and has traditionally had a more 'fragile' radio system than the Vic (which rarely seems to fail completely)?

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

The Vic line is definately going to be next, a mate of mine is doing the operational implementation work for it as we speak. The 92ts I travelled on the other day had a Connect head unit installed with a cover over it too, so don't read too much into the fact that they are starting to install on the 73's.

I was told on ATOR that the Vic will be next, followed by the Picc and the Bloo, although the trainer was unsure in which order. He said it will be on the Picc "this summer" which of course ends in September.

The D stock had the units installed for nearly a year before Connect went live on the District, so installation does not mean immediate operation.
