Is there, or has there ever been, a crew depot at South Harrow? I seem to have a vague memory of a crew change there, i know that it may have been trainees 'swapping over' or a driver 'hitching a lift' or something. It would seem logical, as there is sidings there.

Yes there was, it closed in 1992 along with many other Depots under restructuring arrangements known as "The Company Plan.

I can confirm Jim's comment. It's where I did some of my job training when I first joined the job and where I was subsequently posted as a Station Guard.

Wasn't it in the old , pre 1932, station building ? Correct. As you look at the front of the building from the platform there are two doors. The left one was the SMs office and the other was a passageway to the car park and the traincrew's mess room etc.
