Is it really trains or train operators?

Operators would be "Non Availability of Staff". I believe the problem is the Connect Radios which are more complicated than the previous analouge system and require "configuration" within the depot after shunting apparently. There are a "few" problems with the connect radio, such as going onto the incorrect line controller oh and no-one really know how it works, including Metronet fleet staff ! Hammersmith may also be suffering from having less trains to play with over the weekend as some were still at Barking sidings.

Sounds like a shortage of "C" stock to me.

Happening again today I see. That connect radio really is a waste of time and money.

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

As I understand it, the kit is pretty good when it works. The problems seem to be integration and the various different suppliers failing to get their acts together. If they spent more time dealing with the 'bugs' rather than trying to pass the buck then there wouldn't be any problems!

Pardon butting in slightly off-thread but I do wish we had a "Poster of the Week" nomination here. (*)
Why I like this informative forum so much is we get comments like two of those above:
"Hammersmith may also be suffering from having less trains to play with over the weekend as some were still at Barking sidings."
"The problems seem to be integration and the various different suppliers failing to get their acts together. If they spent more time dealing with the 'bugs' rather than trying to pass the buck then there wouldn't be any problems! "
It's not just what you say here, it's how you say it !
Cheers and keep it coming please.
