Going east from Baker Street I noticed that the track on the Circle Line has improved a great deal - it's all flatbottom rail with concrete sleepers and clean ballast.
Are the shutdowns at or near KXStP for the CTRL works giving Metronet an opportunity to do some track replacement?

The conductor rails were done later on but the aluminium con rails at Baker St junction are still there the last time I past through. I don't know about this case but you are right about Metronet utilising the CTRL possessions as it has been done before - we call it "piggy backing". But Balfour Beatty have been taking a lead on possessions for track works.

The Inner Rail has been renewed all the way to an expansion switch in the platform at Euston Square, about two or three metres from the platform headwall.

The Inner Rail has been renewed all the way to an expansion switch in the platform at Euston Square, about two or three metres from the platform headwall. I should know that since I pass through Euston Square a lot. The scrap rail is still in the six foot.

BUMP.
Are more track replacement works in progress on the north Circle this weekend? No Met south of Wembley Park, no Circle Line between Edgware Road and Tower Hill, and no H&C anywhere.
Interesting to note that the Circle Line is not reversing at Liverpool Street, but is instead diverted to Whitechapel - what exactly is going on?

Work to replace point work at Aldgate also work at other sites.

Does this mean that Minories and Aldgate East Junctions will have to be scotched and clipped, as aetearlscourt's Met colleagues will have taken the air off the frame to facilitate the works?

The Possession Plan will have all the details of protection for the work, it could be that points have to be scotched and clipped.
