Was on 5715 last night,noticed that all the advert frames were painted yellow,another attempt at line brandig?

Funny you should ask that......
I've been told by other train ops to be wary when that particular unit is leading - it tends to give unusual defects which clear as suddenly as they appear.

Is that the unit, that always seems to stall when it pulls away? It just starts going and then, *BANG* motors fall silent, driver tries again, *BANG* motors fall silent...
I had a trip from Wimbledon to Notting Hill Gate on a unit that did that. lol.

A lot of the C stocks behave that way if the driver goes to parallel too early over a rail gap. The reason the train jumps (or goes 'bang' if you like) and the motors go silent is usually because the line breakers operate and the resulting jerking movement causes a loss of pilot light. The driver will then have to move the CTBC to a non motoring position to regain the pilot light before attempting to motor again.
