the dot matrix displays on the w/b from tower hill can show a northfields description but usually the train is a richmond as its just missing a code from the t/d
ABC = richmond A C = northfields ABCD = ealing broadway
so in that instance what i have just mentioned the t/d is missing the B code

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

It has over recent years been left in the lap of the H&C management. Joy. Joy? Can you please tell me what exactly is wrong, in your opinion, with the 'C&H' management?

I'm not sure how you thought the "joy" was directed at the management But, as far as this forum goes, in my opinion, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with H&C management. The Circle Line/Service as it exists is not strictly "owned" by anyone but is run on behalf of Tfl by the H&C management unit. Train Operators, rolling stock and the like is supplied by the H&C. The fact that it was basically left to the H&C to look after it was what prompted the slightly sarcastic "joy." Maybe that was slightly harsh of me, as we at the H&C love the service and the copious amounts of grief it causes

Being an ex H&C signalman, driver, and DMT I get a bit guarded on the subject of the 'Hot & Cold'!

the dot matrix displays on the w/b from tower hill can show a northfields description The one at Mile End w/b can too, and is the one i see most often displaying it. Another anomally - the destination light box at Tower Hill w/b must have a bit of a wiring short .... If one should be lucky enough to be granted a Parsons Green turn, the box illuminates Parsons Green, Wimbledon and Circle Line (none of which are consecutive or adjacent displays) Been like it for years ...perhaps I should report it

If it was the other way I can fully understand your "guardedness" if that's a word ;D I went from guard to driver, then from driver to signalman (Edg Rd & Hms), and then signalman to DMT. Moving away from trains to the cabins was a real eye opener, it showed me another side to the job!

Our paths must have certainly crossed at some point. Your cabins were my (official) cabins. Trouble is, so many were lured back onto trains and into being one of those Area Managers DMTs that I cannot work out which one you were ;D
