I'm sure I'd be ill after that many pints of non-alcoholic beverages - let alone alcoholic ones! I'd be struggling to make it onto the train by about Barbican and firmly asleep by Monument.
Wasn't it about 27 pints that William Hague once bosted he'd had?

Liverpool St. to Temple anticlockwise - still (just about) able to walk, alcoholic beverage consumed at every stop-off on the way. Rock'ard!!!! ;D
EDIT: oh, and that Hague fellow's a pussy - he could only handle 10 pints at a time... ;D

This is actually a pretty famous pub crawl. See here. Half pints are reccomended to avoid hospitalisation. It also appears that you should aim to cover the City relatively early as the pubs there shut when everyone who works there has gone home.

It's look like some peoples wants to reproduce the Glasgow subway subcrawls, in London. I volounteer if you want, but I think I will be ill at the end after something like 20 L of .... water.

I was thinking you could devise your own circular route, using different lines. I'd try one of the East End:
Start at Mile End. District & H&C to Whitechapel ELL to Canade Water Jubilee to Stratford Central back to Mile End
Including both Mile Ends, it is 13 stations, which is still a few pints. There's quite a few 'loops' you could do on the network - the possibilities are endless!

Has anyone taken into account the likely cost of all this? While I dont mind a good few pints myself, some of us suffer from 'Shrinking Wallet Syndrome'.... Good idea tho...

Actually if the rules of the contest stated one half pint of low gravity beer to be consumed at each station on the Circle and given the time that it would take to complete, it could be quite feasible for some! ;D

I can see Shrinking Wallet Syndrome of my own on that crawl - think of all the B&B's and Travelcards I'd have to pay for! Mind you the free travel is an extra advantage for the LU employee.
