An excellent picture over on Annie Mole's blog with a dot matrix indicator displaying the England score! Sounds like a brilliant idea to me! ;D

Yes indeed a brilliant idea unless of course you are working and are recording the match and are going to watch it when you get home and dont wish to know the score

How about having a dvd player in your cab mate, at one time they were the must have accessory to a Northern line driver's kit!!! ;D Going back on topic! I have noticed some stations have football scores on the whiteboards, as well as a pa when the game is over.

Amusing that the boards show the score of a sports match happening in Germany but apparently can't always tell people where their next train might be goin.

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

...but their budget for this was already overspent on account of them already supplying all the stations , signal cabins and signal control rooms ;D ;D ;D Ouch! All we have in our mess area is what we brought as a group. You won't see many management types treating their staff to such equipment. It is a shame that England are still in the competition. The one game I worked through saw the railway deteriorate and nobody answering the phone. Would any other sport be allowed to dominate things in this way. I say leave the updating of scores etc. to those who are broadcasting the match. At least that way I can switch off. We are not all followers of the mamby pamby overpaid group of chaps who, after generating lots of hype, fall over and hurt themselves or graze their knee or strop like a spoilt teenager. Roll on mid-July. Oh hang on. Then it will be about time for the next season to start - or at least the hype to begin. Oh hang on that's already started as well. Next someone will be giving their opinion on who will win the league. Oh hang on....

How will the BBC luvvies cope with being in Germany and Wimbledon at the same time? It seems you absolutely cannot broadcast a live sporting event without at least one celebtrity present.

Should be fine- everyone's a 'celebrity' these days. They can send Sue Barker to whichever has worst weather, as her orange face would be like having a mobile BBC sun.

So...
Wasn't near a station but did they update everyone?
The only update I got was someone storming out to their car over the road from me and removing their flag and chucking it in their wheelie bin.
Another neighbour's child was heard to say "But mummy we still have the flags up" to which she replied "Shut Up."
I figured something was up, so checked out the news. Oh dear. Never mind, lets see how we do in the tennis. What? Not looking good there either ;D

So... Wasn't near a station but did they update everyone? They weren't here in Stockholm but then Sweden got knocked out last weekend and nobody cares anymore. (They're still wearing Heja Sverige T-Shirts but still...) The match was on in a couple of PressbyrÄns but poor quality and nobody was paying much attention.
