Hi, As a "newbie" here I'm a bit worried whether this should be on this topic or on the historical thread.... Please would you check my post re: the Epping Ongar branch here at: districtdave.proboards39.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=thecentralline&thread=1169083711and if this is of interest to you, that contains the link to my "Hello" initial post here today. Apart from the Central (ex GER) Epping-Ongar branch, I'm also interested in the other extremity of the "Old" Met - the Brill Tramway. And, it follows, anything to do with the extension of electrification to Amersham and going back further to around 1936'ish ! Hence my worries the Moderators think this might best be under the umbrella of the Historical thread. My apologies for inadvertently annoying anyone by being a "newbie" here. Cheers, OngarParkNRide

My apologies for inadvertently annoying anyone by being a "newbie" here. Don't be silly! No - one gets annoyed! In fact, threads such as this open up interest and get good subjects going - which is always good

Thanks for the encouragement. Although I'm a newbie poster, I've lurked here a bit so decided to put my reply into the "Rant" topics threads. Like, Why Was The Brill Tramway Closed? I think it better there, and would be very happy to discuss the actual "Met" and historical bits regarding The Brill Tramway on this thread if anyone wants a chat. If anyone manages to follow my thoughts, they will see it reflects questions of profit, management and operation. To anyone who dismisses my thoughts, I apologise because I'm being too verbose or not setting them out right. Please let me know so I can try to clarify where I'm coming from. The link is: districtdave.proboards39.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rant&thread=1169251140cheers, OngarParkNRide ps: I've been an active poster on only a handful of specialist forums since 1998, and a believer in "thread discipline" that I guess everyone here takes seriously, and I appreciate.
