Just wanted to say thank you to any LUL staff on here who worked through New Years Eve.
I was up in London myself and arrived home at about half-three in the morning having caught the Met from London and picked up the Chesham shuttle at Chalfont (which was busier than it normally is in the day!).
It was great being able to get home so easily and the service worked really well - thanks very much and happy new year to all.

No problem sire! Glad we were of assistance!
Must have cost Nat West a fortune in sponsoring the free travel tho!

Thank you sir!
I wasn't on duty when it really kicked off. I did work the 31st though, from 0600-1900. Started work at 0700 today, so caught the tail end of it. As usual a minority caused trouble, setting off call points at London Bridge resulting in a temporary closure.

It was great being able to ride the subway at night. I wonder if some day we'll be able to do it more often... at least on weekends. The connections didn't seem to be great though. I took a Westbound Piccadilly and arrived at Rayners Lane and had to wait for ages. In fact, another Piccadilly arrived at Rayners before the first westbound Met. arrived to take me home. When the service isn't very frequent (how many trains were there per hour per line?) it would be nice if these things are coordinated a bit better.

Someons had thrown a shopping trolley onto the line in the Harrow on the Hill area, which meant that all the trains were "stuck" North of Harrow. The advertised service was Baker St- Uxbridge/ Watford every 20mins and Baker Street - Amersham every 30 mins. This was very quickly shot to pieces with a 70min wait for the Amersham service.
Still not as bad as the hourly Circle Line service!

In fact, another Piccadilly arrived at Rayners before the first westbound Met. arrived The Picc service is always more frequent than the Met so I think you'll find that two Piccs to one Met is the normal ratio, even in the peak hours.

The Picc wervice is every 20 mins to Rayners Lane, every 20 mins to Uxbridge, plus in the peak there are extra trains to Ruislip every 20 mins (me thinks). The Met service is every 10 mins to Uxbridge and in the peaks this is increased to about every 6-10 mins

Yeah normally it's six per hour from Rayners Lane on each line, but I was talking about the service on New Year's Eve. But apparently it was every 20 minutes theoretically, and no Picc. beyond Uxbridge. I waited a lot longer than that and we did not get information.
It was okay though, there were plenty of strange people to look at!
