Have the various plans tossed around to build a third platform at Ruislip and make the station "double-ended" ever produced any possible signalling diagrams? If not, I'd like to try to make one

The best layout for a three platform intermediate station in my opinion would be, outbound track-platform-centre track-platform-inbound track, with the centre track connected to the main running lines by a "Y" at each end.
I would have thought that Rayner's Lane was more in need of three platforms than Ruislip, as more trains reverse there, as well as it being located near a junction.

Unless the money can be found to completely reconstruct the station and road bridge to provide the space needed for additional tracks, Rayners Lane is unlikely to be rebuilt. Ruislip is much less difficult, as there is only a signal box, AET depots and stroage buildings standing in the way.
And I have a feeling that Ruislip would be built with the current down (westbound) platform changed into a bidirectional terminating platform, with the new down (westbound) platform running around the outside of the existing platform, similar to Putney Bridge but without the speed restriction. Given the careful nature of signalling design, you would need trap points on the western edge of the bidirectional platform road in order to provide flank protection and allow a high-speed entry (the other side has more than enough space for overlaps).

ruislip does not have a aet depot btw nearest ones are rayners lane and uxbridge uxbridge is the main one as rayners lane is now a satelite depot (hardly used)

If you are that desperate for a extra platform ad Rayners then why not utilise the old sidings?

Because the IMR and the road bridge are in the way.

Because the IMR and the road bridge are in the way. Well, rebuild the bridge and IMR then! (The IMR will probably be replaced in circa 5 years time when the ATO system is installed on the Met).

For some reason I find it difficult to believe that the Uxbridge branch will be one of the first parts of LU to receive the new ATO systems - especially considering that no one will finally make up their minds and say "the little blue trains must go to Heathrow and the big proper trains must go to Uxbridge", solving the problem in one fell stroke...

thats the only part of the met line using jointless track circuits so it would be easy to install the kit there first to make sure it works first they dont want another jubilee line cock up as westinghouse has the contract for re-signalling ssl

According to Metronet's website the new signalling system will be fully operational by 2013. It will likely to be tested, and in partial operation well before then.

Ruislip Station- The road bridge to the West of Ruislip Station was built with two spans to enable an additional two tracks to be provided 'in the future' to the South of the station and the S bend in the running lines approaching from the East would have allowed the Westbound line to run straight into an additional platform ( or non stopping loop )
