I've noticed another aerial appearing on A60/62 cab ends.Is this something to do with connect?

You mean the 'boathook' shaped silver thing??? Yes, I think you're right with regards to Connect

Some of the C stocks have them now, and at least one unit has a long-awaited Connect radio panel installed, albeit still covered up and unusable!

The train I bought out of Ealing Common Depot this morning (unit 7514) has the gubbins with the blanked off connect panel and handset in the old DRICO box.

At the risk of wandering off topic, what was DRICO? I've noticed the box in the cab, but what did it do?

'Drico' (Driver - Controller communication) was a system where by in emergency you could talk direct with the controller from the cab via the tunnel telephone wires. You had two clips the same as the tunnel telephone hand set but when you clipped them onto the wires you did not take the current off as they fed a voltage from the batteries into the wires thus keeping the trip relay energised. You used the normal train phone mike but pushed a different button to speak.

Oh yes... good old DRICO!!
Most A-stock cabs have been fitted with (blanked-off) Connect equipment. However, you would not believe the stupid place they've moved the PA handset to. Behind the driver's seat and up to the right. Lots of 'sickies' with back and shoulder pain in future methinks! ;D

So why was DRICO abandoned? It sounds useful.

So why was DRICO abandoned? It sounds useful. Train Radio superseeded DRICO, you couldnt use DRICO whilst moving.
