LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

Tinted windows are normal windows that have been given a darker shading (smoke grey) just like on motor vehicles (Limosines etc). This is normally done on trains to reduce the effects of solar gain, where as on motor vehicles it is more for privacy. I am not sure about 'A' Stock but certainly London Underground trialled tinted windows on a 'C' Stock trailer car (6567). The car still has the windows fitted but it wasn't extended to the rest of the fleet as it was found to inhibit the visually impaired from identifying the station names.
