Had an interesting problem a little while back. Namely, I had an unresolved LO OP journey from Euston to Watford Junction on my Oyster, but the poor chappie at KX's ticket office couldn't do squat to fix it, i.e. no resolves, no deletions, nada. After much head scratching he ended up just giving me a new Oyster and putting my existing balance + refund on that.
<sarcasm>Yay for Oyster and yay for London Overground!</sarcasm>
On a side note, where do you go for LO problems at Euston, it's nothing to do with the tube (not to mention it's a bit of a trek), and London Midland man the gate line ticket office.

Speaking of unresolved journeys and staff incompetence...
A bloke at the new King's Cross Thameslink station told me that I could use my Oyster card on Thameslink, yet there was nowhere to touch out at Cricklewood...

he should have been more specific - you can use oyster between Elephant and Castle and West Hampstead.
I was at St Pancras Thameslink today - it was quite good but seemed much like City Thameslink. There were so many CCTV cameras though! Plus, there is a long walk to the tube lines now.

Plus, there is a long walk to the tube lines now. Haven't been yet myself, but I thought the idea was that it would be closer to the Eurostar, but also to the tube there. There used to be a shortish walk to the Victoria line platforms (as that is close to Pentoville Road) but a considerably longer walk to the other tube lines.

You can, but only between West Hampstead and Elephant & Castle/London Bridge on pre-pay. Of course if you have a period travelcard on your oyster you can travel on most trains and any tube within the zones you have purchased.

Call the oyster help-line (sigh) No good. Tried that first, but I don't use the tube predictably, so I can't nominate a station to receive my refund....and there's a £5 admin charge for a cheque.

Once the new northern ticket hall at Kings Cross St Pancras underground station is completed (2010) the First Capital Connect Thameslink will be closer to the tube. You can see where the top of the escalators are at the NE Entrance to St Pancras International.

when I travelled from London Bridge to St Pan on FCC last week you couldn't buy tickets on the machines because they had not been updated yet. You had to go to the desk, even they couldn't sell it. Have to buy a ticket to West Hampstead if you want to get off at Kings X (bit disorganised). Also if you go to touch in on PAYG at LB it does not let you... you have to get barrier staff to let you in then touch on a oyster reader on the platform to travel by PAYG (bit silly)

A friend has discovered you cannot top up your Oyster PAYG on the touchscreen machines at Camden Road, by using coins.

The gates at St Pancras aren't fans of Oyster either. Staff ones are fine but pay and go it took trying most of the gates to let me through.
