Or is it supposed to be 'semtex'?
I've heard a couple of people use it and I can't work out what it means!

Imagine that it's 'semtex' and that it is the same as 'bravo sierra'...

Or is it supposed to be 'semtex'? I've heard a couple of people use it and I can't work out what it means! Beeper Sentex is literal B%X, mind you the per cent could do with an extra l. I lay claim to the term 'beeper sentex', although b%x has existed in the written form for several years I coined the phrase myself and began using it in that form in 2004. It is gradually making it into the spoken word. Edited to add; I don't know where the written form originated but I know it has been around for at least eight years, an acquaintance who is a bus driver has been using it in his email messages for at least that long.
