It is with very much regret that I must tell you that MandGC has passed away. He knew he was very ill and dying but didn't want a lot of fuss and we've honoured that wish, but I couldn't let his last message pass with everyone thinking that he might return to the site. Thank you all so much for the great enjoyment he found within this site,he did so love railways and maps. This will definitely be the last message connected with MandGC, posted by his wife.

Shame ^2.
Like I said before, he was one of the most knowledgeable people around. He will definitely be missed.

Oh dear . His contributions will be greatly missed. He had knowledge stretching back many decades, from an era which is now passed. I found it very interesting, as an 18 year old, to read his posts about the system of years gone by. May he rest in peace.

I never "knew" him unfortunately as the Northern Line is rarely a part of my life.
My thoughts are with you nonetheless.
