This evening,at sunset, looking out of the tower windows at the cyrrus clouds all different colours from pink in the east through orange & gold to yellow in the west,I have to agree with the old saying, the best things in life are indeed free.

I wish that saying was true. The best things in life are free well some are, but you need money to live and do these things. Love and money make the world go round. People who say Love makes the world go round are just simply rich.

Every city is the best city in the world at night..... especially London.... remember we've got the London Underground ;D ;D ;D Ah but we've also got the overground bits! Some beautiful sunsets lately. Certain people might have had to stop their train at random places in order to fish out their phone and take a few pics.

Wow... Both images are very impressive - the pylons certainly emphasise the spectrum of colours in the sky - just a shame you didn't have anything less man made to get in the foreground that's not a criticism of your photography by the way

I love the starkness of the pylons against that sky. You'd lose that clarity with something with a softer edge (trees etc). And there's something breathtaking about manmade objects juxtaposed with nature.

Taken April this year. Woke up at the crack of dawn to do so.

(Younger members cover your eyes, older members, it's an opportunity, however lame, that cannot be missed)
Lucky dawn ;D
My uncle had several albums of (real) pictures that he had taken of numerous sunsets. Right up until he died a few months ago he would go out regularly to take them.
Whatever the weather, and although they were all mostly taken from the same area / hill / street etc. they all offered a unique and sometimes very breath-taking picture - as can be seen by any of the above. He always said, probably quoting someone from somewhere, but it is very true, "Make the most of each one, cos you never know which one will be your last."
