On my trip to London, i saw at least twenty diffrant trains(locos).Question one: why don't stock drivers wave? i waved to all the drives withing range at the platform. Not one waved. are you guys that far behind that you cant wave. Question 2 Why do all train drivers i saw wear flouro vests? most drivers don't get out of the cab during there shifts. except getting i and out. and thats usually on the platform. These questions are bugging me?thank you for the answers. Jason btw why is my name i n the spellcheck?

Why don't drivers wave? Could be a multitude of reasons. As to wearing the Hi Vi vest, may be because staff can be easily recognised in a crowded situation?

Probably because they've got sore arms already from greeting plenty of other trains & railroad workers.
On my way from Zurich to Chur (which is about a two hour drive) I have my hands in the air all the time.
Funny thing is: Everytime I see one of you fans taking a picture and I put two thumbs up you get angry as if I just spoiled your picture.

The scenery is simply marvelous. Perhaps a forum meet?

Also, on Satellite, theres a channel called DB TV... all about the DB system in Germany... wonderful, or should I say, Prachtwoll!
Get some cab rides late at night, Berlin - Hamburg, etc. even had one on the Eisenbahn, going up the side of a mountain! You coould literally feel as if you were there, seeing the scenery getting more and more bleak, until you hit the clouds.

Question 2 Why do all train drivers i saw wear flouro vests? It might be motivational thing. Motivational theorists often say responsibility helps motivate people, and when do you feel more responsible than wearing a flurescent jacket?! Apart from, possibly, carrying a clipboard.

makes the railway look "silly and immature" ;D ;D ;D Yesterday or so I saw a guy with a huge camera taking pictures of my local. I decided to save his day by turning on the three red emergeny lights for just a few seconds. But instead of taking the picture of his life the guy got angry and shaked a fist at me.
