A homeless man was killed on the NYC subway yesterday, as he stayed onboard a 6 train whilst it negociated a non-passenger reversing loop at Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall. Apparently he decided to have a pee whilst standing between the carriages, as the train negociated the 150ft radius curve, he was crushed to death. Obviously a candidate for the Darwin Awards!
Interestingly, the NYC subway has similar tipping out rules as LUL, but as with the Kennington Loop, passengers can stay onboard throughout the City Hall Loop if they "forget" to get off the train. About a month ago, guards were instructed to play the "don't walk between cars" announcement before trains negociate the City Hall Loop, after a previous death.
