On 22.12.2006, a new station named "Parnas" has been opened. It became the 60th metro station in the St. Petersburg and the most northern in the xUSSR (and the most useless in the St. Petersburg ). Opening. Memorable token: side 1 and side 2. Photos taken during construction (August and November, 2006). As you can see, station is placed basically in the middle of nowhere.

Great pics.
I see the front of the first (?) train (pic 2) is even more decorated than we do over here......
........and the mythical creatures in pic 4. What do they represent? I don't think we realised that xUSSR folks had started taking an interest in that sort of thing again. Very curious for an ultra-modern station.

Yes, it's a very first train, decorated with two Russian Federation national flags and a St. Petersburg flag. As per picture caption, it is based on the ancient Greek myths theme. Makes sense, as the station name is "Parnas" (Parnassus) .
