British railway track contractors please note the superb condition of the permanent way. Let us note the Lack of Graffiti, the lack of rubbish and plantation on trackbed and the neatness of the whole system. All this with no Fencing around the track to stop miscreants getting in. SO come on how is it done?

If Q8 were still member of this forum I'm sure he'd have some ideas on the differences between here and over there.....

But notice one thing, the various bits of track components dumped just to the left of the garage [above the back of the train]
Prachtvoll, Dennis, Prachtvoll...

We've had this before with many of us, particularly me, using foreign languages on this 'ere forum. No-one seems to mind. Just don't mention that country that is very close to Berlin.... ;D

Sorry, slight bump, isn't the TPE 185 a DESIRO? DESIROs are electric... Essentially this is a diesel version yes but they seem to be trying to distance themselves from being called Desiros, rather going for the title "Pennine 185"

I can't find any detail confirming this... Someone was telling me they were put in service on Thursday.... Just done a detailed search about this one, I can confirm they are not in service yet, they are however currently running around on test and training runs. Provisionally 14th March (Tuesday) seems to be the day to see them first run. DT- I got info that the first run would be 6:21 Hull to Manchester, and these will work units in the new First group livery.

I'm sure you mean Manchester to Hull though, makes sense coming out Longsight depot in the morning. Yeah, they will be in the new First livery too. The others that have been delivered in the old first vinyls have since had them removed.
