I have been watching all of the 9/11 programs that have been on in the past week, and when i watched last nights one, i realised they had a minor but important mistake which states that the north tower was hit first, but in other programs they noted that the south tower was hit first,!
Did anyone else notice this mistake?
my concern is that when they do a documentary on the london bombings, will they make the same sort of mistake by giving out wrong information?
I for one am very serious about history especially the 9/11 and 7/7. and would not like the events interpreted in the wrong way.

I watched a little of the one on last night [Thursday] quite shocking to see the reconstruction and stories of people caught up in it...

As that would really upset me, i am very much into the history of this country, such as jack the ripper, sweeney todd, freat fire of london etc, and im really looking forward to them making a reconstuction or documentery in 4 years time.

I am sure that it is important to document what happened on 7/7, I'm just not sure it is a good idea. Whilst it is important we never forget the customers we lost that day and what happened, I fear that the event will be sensationalised by the film makers. There was nothing remotely glitzy about that day, it was dirty, raw and horrible. The only good thing for them to portray is the heroic efforts of LU staff whilst dealing with the immediate aftermath, and the way in which our customers behaved which was also nothing short of heroic. I fear however, that the lure of popular TV will prevail and they will concentrate on all the wrong things. Look at the way Princess Diana's pictures have been utilised in the foreign press, love her or hate her nobody deserves that sort of treatment. We must think of the survivors and the relatives of those who were murdered.

i know but imagine how people will feel if the storys are documented wrongly, hence the 9/11. it may have been a minor mistake but to some people that means everything. my heart totally goes out to peoples relatives, but if they are going to make a documentry about it i think they should do it based only on survivors storys not on phonecalls or anything else.

i disagree the phone calls were actual at the time of the incidents so i feel that they played an important part of the documentary as they payed a lot of respect for the hundreds of people who died during the terribile events of that day. There has been a documentary already made about the 7 th of july in the program (the tube) i feel all thge facts in that were correct .

Yes, 'The Tube' touched on events without going into too much detail, which to me was correct. They turned up at Edgware Road on the morning of 7/7 but, unlike other members of the press, they kept a discrete distance.

yeah in the 9/11 that was appropriate, but phonecalls can sometimes be misleading like interprted wrongly, from the events that did happen. i just think if they do an anniversery documentry on the 7/7 they should do it souly based on a survivors point of view.

I haven't yet seen The Tube programme on 7/7... I feel, that if a documentary of the event is made, staff involved should also be taken into consideration.... I'd have to hesitate on buying a dvd about it, should one be made...

totally everyone involved should be taken into consideration, The only thing i have issues about is that going over the events may be very traumatic for them, especially the relatives due to the fact of not known exactly what happened, Because if that was me id be in wrecks not knowing what happened to a loved one

I'd have to hesitate on buying a DVD about it, should one be made... The Tube ones were excellent because it wasn't bias in anyway. It showed staff doing their jobs, and very well, considering what was happening at the time. The ones I've seen of 9/11, were very dramatic, and americanised. E.G. The one with the New York firefighters was introduced by Robert De Niro! Whats that about!? It was supposed to be a factual documentary based on real-life events, that happened to everyday people, and you have Robert De Niro doing the introduction! But The Tube one was accurate, fair and it showed how the staff remained professional, even in critical times!

Yes, 'The Tube' touched on events without going into too much detail, which to me was correct. They turned up at Edgware Road on the morning of 7/7 but, unlike other members of the press, they kept a discrete distance. I remember the very episode(s). The program was very well done. They interviewed staff from the key locations - DSM's, GSM's TOp, SS's, ERU etc. The also interviewed a female customer and she recalled her story - which personally I found quite emotional as it described the courage and bavery of the 'normal' LU staff. The TV crew were infact with ERU when they were called to Edgware Road - so they presented a little known side to the 7th July 'story' that of the role of ERU. I sincerely hope we don't get into one of those 'American' drama shows, the ones that are on the Documentary channels on sky, seconds from disaster, mega disasters etc that seem to fill most of those channels every night. IF presented properly I'm sure they would be very informative, regretfully those shows tend to treat their opinions as fact and fill in gaps of knowledge with so called experts who obviously mirror the producers views anyway. History is a funny thing and with todays technology, I wonder how we will look back in say 20-30 years at what's happening today?
