I bought two bottles of 500ml diet coke today for £1.30. When I got home I noticed that they had an iTunes offer on the side. Basically, you enter a code and get a free song on iTunes which is worth £0.79. So I paid £0.65 for each bottle of coke and got a free song worth £0.79 with each one. Bargain!! ;D
The only down side is you are limited to 5 free songs per account. Even if you paid the more usual price of £1 for a 500ml bottle you are still getting a good deal.

Or you could just use a program like Limewire...*Looks innocent* Limewire introduces spyware, adware AND a virus to your PC unless you are very careful. Built into the program (that's why it's free!!). AVOID AVOID AVOID

Even with all easiness of downloading mp3's instantly and cheaply (legally or not legally) i still prefer a CD! Something to have and to hold! I'm trying to buy all the CD's i've copied of people. Feel a bit of a hypocrite calling myself a fan otherwise! Will be costly, but i'm doing it in stages. May I encourage others to do likewise! Incidentally, (oh, hi Mr Curling!) his afternoon i've just bought The Magic Numbers self titled album and Smashing Pumpkins: Greatest Hits. www.bangcd.com has the cheapest CD's i can find, with albums being around 6.99. Shipped over from Singapore, take about a week to arrive but are a reliable company! Should bangcd feel the need to reward me for free advertising, let it be known for the record im willing to accept any CD's they wish to send me! ;D

To be brutally truthful, I think the Coke offer is a good one and would feel a little dishonest in trying to find a way around the system. I know we could, and I know that they are a huge international company but if it got abused they might not do anything similair in the future.
I know what your saying about a CD, and I took a long time to abandon my vinyl, but I just can't be bothered with all the clutter anymore! Log on, download, save money, no hassle!

Fundamental problem with an mp3 download is that you don't really own it. Unlike a CD, it is illegal to sell a second-hand downloaded track. So the money you pay is gone forever, no resale value!
